Who we are: American, German and Austrian nationals, anti-fascists activists and jews dedicated to combating anti-Semitism and promoting German-Jewish relations through dialogue.

We are a secular forum for the exploration of Jewish cultural identification and a sense of community. We welcome people of all beliefs and faiths, and encourages diverse opinions.

Our first salon will be held on January 8th at Mariannenplatz 4 (TARR residence), 8:00pm.

The purpose of our first Salon will be to discuss the notion of openly identifying as Jewish in Berlin. We will attempt to assess the risks and potential rewards of community building in order to determine whether the project should move forward.

1) In your opinion, can community organization have a positive effect on anti-Semitism? Is there something to be gained from increasing the visibility of Jewish culture in Berlin?

2) What does it mean to you personally to be Jewish? Is this a label you are comfortable with?

3) Can Jewish designate a culture?

4) Has your Jewish identity been impacted by living in Germany?

5) Would you, personally, feel uncomfortable if people in Germany knew that you were Jewish?
